Jira integration

Jira issues, matched to what shipped

Jira shows what was planned. Your repositories show what shipped. Gitmore matches Jira issues to the pull requests that implement them and turns the gap into reports anyone can read.

Works withGitHub·GitLab·Bitbucket

What Jira's own Git integration does

Jira connects to Bitbucket natively and to GitHub and GitLab through Atlassian Marketplace apps. Issue keys in branches, commits and PRs show up in the issue's development panel, and smart commits can transition issues.

  • –Development information is per issue; cross-team planned-vs-shipped reporting needs extra tooling.
  • –Each provider is connected separately.
  • –Updates for people outside engineering still have to be written by hand.

What Gitmore adds

Planned vs shipped

See which tasks shipped, which are in progress with an open PR, which PRs merged while the task stayed open, which tasks were closed without a PR, and which merged PRs had no task.

Reports people read

Weekly reports, client portals and the AI chat know which task each pull request implements, so updates talk about planned work, not just commit messages.

GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket in one view

Match Jira tasks to pull requests from all three providers, including self-hosted GitLab, in a single planned-vs-shipped view.

Closed when it ships

Optionally, when a linked PR merges, Gitmore marks the task done and comments “Shipped in …” with the PR link. Only confirmed links are written back.

How Jira tasks get linked

  • ✓An issue key (PROJ-123) in the PR title, branch, description or commit messages links the PR to the issue.
  • ✓A link to the Jira issue in the PR description links it too.
  • ✓Similar titles become suggestions you confirm or reject.

Set up in three steps

1

Connect Jira

Authorize your Jira Cloud site and choose a project.

2

Choose repositories

Select the GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket repositories to match.

3

Pick a done transition

Optionally let Gitmore move merged issues to Done and comment with the PR link.
